No Veteran should ever have to struggle to find a place to call home.
Even though we work diligently to eradicate homelessness among Veterans, there will always be new groups of Veterans returning from active duty. They will need a place to stay. The US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) simply does not have enough places for all the Veterans returning from tour.
But There Is Hope
The Veterans living at Passageways are thankful for a comfortable bed, hot meals, and clean clothes, all provided to them at no charge. They are delighted to be in a quiet neighborhood. They tell us, "Thank you" all the time.

There are not enough livable places for our Wichita Heroes to call home. This isn't just a Veteran issue. It is a Wichita issue. Low income or working poor have very few choices for housing.
More than half of the 2.6 million Veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars struggle with physical and mental health problems stemming from their service, a recent Washington Post & Kaiser Family Foundation poll found.
